Christine’s Transplant Fund

Hello my name is Leroy Howell.  My wife is Christine Howell.  She is in need of a liver transplant.  She was born with a condition known as Biliary Atresia.  She overcame the odds by a surgery that was performed at 21 days old.  From that time she went to school and college.  Her dream of becoming a teacher was achieved.  Christine and I married and had two beautiful children.  Beating the odds once again.  13 years ago she started getting a recurring fever.  We found out that she had Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, narrowing of the bile ducts.  That is when she was referred to the transplant team.  They decided to monitor her and treat with medication.  Four years ago the fevers came back and they ended up removing the left lobe of the liver.  The Meld Score has now reached a point where her only option is to have the transplant. The money raised from this campaign will help with medical cost, lifelong medications, and living expenses while we go through this time.  Our family would like to thank everyone in advance for all their help, donations, and prayers.
