Christine's Mounting Medical Bills

Donation protected
Christine's Challenge
Chrissy's first GoFundMe Campaign was started for her early in 2015 by her good friend Donna Rogers. Christine's wonderful friends and family generously raised $5600 toward her goal of $25000 for her medical treatments and for that she is eternally grateful.

She never expected to need to ask for help again. She never expected her medical bills to grow to such an unmanageable amount. The emotional stress and uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis has been followed by financial insecurity and more anxiety. Christine has found herself in a very difficult position... being unable to keep up with her mounting medical expenses.

My Best Friend
When I met Christine Sigle almost 20 years ago I never imagined how strong our friendship would become. I consider her my best friend in the world. Chris has supported me through some of the toughest times in my life. She has always been so nice to me and so many other people. She is the most thoughtful, caring person I know. If you know her, you know what I mean.

I remember getting the call after her appointment and my heart just sank. I remember crying with her on the phone, having no words at all that might help and just thinking, Why Her? It just made no sense. And knowing how scared she was made it so much worse because I felt so helpless. If I can help her do this and raise some money to save her any further pain or fear... I'm in!

Here's Where We Are Now
Chris began her treatments with chemotherapy (which can never begin soon enough as anyone who has been through this knows). She lost her hair and got a pretty great wig and we hoped that would be enough. Unfortunately, it wasn't and she would have to have a mastectomy followed by radiation. My heart broke for her daily but she is strong as nails and she endured it all with her signature good humor while patiently waiting to find out if they "got it."

Finally Some Good News!
She found out that the operation was a success and, by the grace of God, she is now cancer-free. She has had one reconstructive surgery, is awaiting a second one and continues to heal from her operation.

It Should be Time to Take a Breath
Now the bills are piling up and a different kind of anxiety is looming. While she is back to work at the library, Christine is only a part-time employee. She has been aggressively seeking full-time work but has not been able to find a new job yet. Her husband works very hard too. He and Kenny Jr. have loved and supported her through it all. They all just really need a little extra help now.

If you are able to help, please consider making a donation to Christine's fund. As a longtime friend and regular recipient of her kindness and compassion, I can say from my heart, that I know she would donate to anyone in the same situation if she could.

Thank you so much for any support you can offer.
