<div>Many of you may know me personally, many are past acquaintances, and then there are the ones who don't know me at all. My name is Christine. I was born and raised in NJ. I was married at a young age and raised my son as a single mom. Although, I've experienced good and bad relationships throughout the years, I financially struggled.

<div>I moved to Florida in 2013 to change my life and my ways. I had prearranged living accommodations, which I'm thankful for, and started a new job in 2014. My first ordeal was battling breast cancer in 2016. And then a second episode in 2019. The upcoming years were sure to be a battle, and they were!

<div>However, Christmas of 2024, I counted my blessings and was so proud of my accomplishments. I had a wonderful 10-year career and purchased my first home in 2020! I have a beautiful house, a great family, and good friends. I became a grandma in 2022, and I was pronounced cancer-free in October of 2025. There it was, "My Rainbow." I couldn't have asked for anything more!!

<div>Then it all changed. The morning of January 13, 2025, I stopped at my bank on my way to work to sign off on a 2nd home equity loan. I needed this loan to replace my roof as well as other property repairs. That morning, I was let go from my company, the career that I thought I would retire from. I didn't realize how financially dependent I was on that job. It was my life!

<div>I had no income for five months after being let go. To get by, I spent my savings, credit cards, and then some.

<div>The new construction homes and the Florida rains have failed my property. It’s going to cost me a lot more to save my house. I have hit rock bottom and have no money for food or my living expenses. I had no choice but to live off this new loan, which was also used to purchase a new hot water heater, dryer and appliance repairs. Now I can’t afford a new roof or any property repairs.

<div>Thankfully, I started a new job a few months ago. Unfortunately, it’s 12k less than what I was making. I am actively pursuing other employment that offers the compensation I need to survive. In the meantime, my groceries are limited, the bills are accumulating, I have multiple doctor appointments, and I still need a roof or my homeowner's insurance will not renew my policy.

<div>I find myself giving up &amp; I don’t want to lose my faith!

<div>Any assistance offered would be much appreciated, from the bottom of my heart! I don’t want to lose my only home; I don’t want to be hungry. Donations will go directly to the cost of my roof and groceries.
