In Memory of Christine Verhagen

It is with much sadness and with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of one of our own and dear friend, Christine Verhagen. She died in a single car accident Sunday night and leaves behind three children ages 19, 17, and 15.

Christine was a big part of our Old House family. It is impossible to describe Christine in only a few words. She touched the hearts of so many. People would come in a customer and leave as her friend. We joked at Old House that Christine was everywhere! She would be at the front bar giving tastings and then the customer would venture out to the distillery and find Christine giving tastings there as well. They would say, "Wow! You are here too." Christine would reply, "I'm everywhere!"

It is said that if there is any substitute for love, it's memory. Christine is everywhere. Her memories are forever embedded in all of our hearts. That is life's gift!

Thank you to all of you who came out to celebrate Christine's life at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Saturday. She would have been so happy to see so many of her friends and family joined in prayer and song.
