My sister would never ask for help, so I am taking matters in to my own hands to raise some money for her medical expenses.

She is the strongest person I know, and I would like to take some stress off of her shoulders.

Most of you don't know that my sister has suffered from Lyme Disease with a co-infection of Bartonella for about 2 years now. Seeing my sister battle Lyme Disease has not been easy for me or my family.

Her Lyme is not getting better, (her blood test just came back positive for mono - on top of everything else) and she had no choice but to begin seeing a Lyme Disease specialist in Washing, D.C, who doesn't take insurance.

While working full time, she experiences daily symptoms that include joint pain, vertigo, severe seizure-like tremors, night sweats, high fevers, muscle twitches, tinnitus, brain fog, numbness and tingling, heart palpitations, hysterical melt downs and panic attacks, memory loss, floaters in her eyes, digestive issues - the list goes on and on.


She has been to the ER four times, the ENT specialist three times, an Ophthalmologist, Neurologist, Psychiatrist, four different primary care doctors, Duke Infectious Disease Specialist, Cardiologists, and Rheumatologist. She was initially diagnosed with MS, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, acid reflux, and severe anxiety.

One specialist visit = $890 (She will continue seeing him monthly)
Medication = over $500 per month
Most recent test = $970 (Insurance doesn't cover it)


I've watched her fight her ass off these past couple years. I am so proud of how strong and postitive she continues to be. She inspires me daily. 

I am hoping to raise some money to contribute to the cost of her ongoing medical bills. 

I love her so much and I want her to get better so she can get her life back.

A message from my sister:

"Well, as I see this morning my sister took things upon herself to make a go fund me page for me and for that I am thankful because I hate asking for help. I was doing better for awhile, until I recently started to plateau. I declined and was told I had a viral infection and mono has been reactivated. Basically my immune system is going haywire. I have been on antibiotics since February of last year. At this point my doctor started reaching out to get advice from other specialists.... that was a red flag for me indicating she didn't know how else to help me. I took matters into my own hands. I recently had an encouraging appointment with a Lyme and Co-infection/Immune specialist in Washington D.C. This did come at a hefty cost, as they do not take insurance However, I know this is where I need to be. After a 3 hour appointment, we are starting a completely new pulsating medication regimen this Monday that includes supplements to rebuild my immune system and new medicines to target different bacterias and all forms of the bacterias. I am nervous yet SOOO ready. They also suspect I am dealing with another co-infection (bacteria) called Babesia due to my enlarged liver and current symptoms, which we have not been targeting. My goal is remission and I WILL GET THERE! I want to live without relying on medication. Right now if I come off my meds I have a severe relapse within 24 hours. I am attempting to stay a float with medical expenses these future months, as things are starting to add up quickly.
