Christina's Recovery Fund

Saturday, Sept 30th, Christina was walking in a Wal-mart parking lot in New York when she was hit by a suburban. The impact threw her to the ground and left her with a broken leg. She was taken to a local hospital immediately. The staff and doctors have been wonderful, and so far, it looks like Christina will keep her leg and hopes to have the second surgery to repair the breaks within the next week.

We live in Texas, and Christina will remain in New York until such time as the doctors deem her capable of traveling. Her mother has flown up to be with her (thank you, Julie!). I am a small business owner, and taking care of our teenage son, and so I am unable to travel to be with her right now. (Thank goodness for cellphones, texting, and Facebook!) As you might guess, this is a strain on our family, and since she will be unable to work for several weeks, we are incurring additional expenses daily.

We are asking for help so that we can pay for the plane tickets home for her and her mom, and so we can stay afloat until she can get back to work.  As they say, every little bit helps.
