Help Christina with Tumor Surgery

Hi everyone, my name is Justin Benassi. My wonderful bride-to-be, Christina Louise, needs your help. On Tuesday, August 21st, Christina visited a podiatrist for a simple injury: a stubbed toe. You may be wondering why something that happens to everyone once in a while would warrant a trip to a specialist, but Christina had a lingering injury for years past that was diagnosed as a neuroma. We assumed the intense pain she was experiencing was a result of inflaming the older injury. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The doctor took multiple x-rays, and the images revealed a tumor growing in one of the bones in her foot. We were shocked to realize that what we thought was a simple injury was actually a rare and complicated condition that would require further imaging and an invasive surgery. Right now, we don’t have many answers to the questions that worry us. A lengthy insurance approval process means that Christina won’t have an MRI until September 7th. After that, we’ll have a better idea of what the tumor is and what it means for her treatment and surgery to remove it.
During this time, Christina is unable to walk more than a few feet at a time, much less work. Having one of us out of work would normally be a heavy strain on our finances, but that strain is compounded greatly by the fact that we are getting married on October 18th. With the costs of planning the celebration, we are left with little savings to keep us afloat. We have done all we can to cut our expenses but see no other options except to turn to our friends and family for support.
Your aid would be greatly appreciated and would go towards paying both medical costs and bills we would otherwise be unable to pay. Right now, we don’t know what surgery will cost after Christina’s insurance. We do know that the money she made went to her car payment as well as insurance for herself and her vehicle.
We are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family that we can come to in a time of need, and thank any and everyone who can donate or help spread our story. We will update regularly as we learn more about diagnosis and treatment.
