My name is Victoria and I work in the Scottsdale office. We are raising funds for our co-worker Christina Flatt and her family, who have been impacted by hurricane Harvey.
Christina has worked at MagellanRx for 10 years out of the Scottsdale office. Her husband recently got a job in Houston TX and they moved their family from AZ in May. They were finally getting situated and her kids just started school when hurricane Harvey hit. They evacuated their house immediately and slept on the floor of her husband's office for 3 nights. After going back to their rental home to see the damage, they found that all of their belongings on the first floor are permanently damaged. This includes; all furniture, everything in the master bedroom (clothes, bed, antique drawer), kitchen supplies, brand new washer and dryer, and Christina's truck. Luckily, the kids bedrooms upstairs were not touched. They were able to find another rental property to move in to but they will have to completely replace their first floor items. All worth thousands of dollars and some irreplaceable family antiques.
If you personally know Christina, you would know that she is a hard worker, dedicated to her job, and would help anyone in need in a heartbeat. She was logged on working during the 3 days spent at her husband's office while dealing with 2 kids, 3 dogs, and the unknown outcome of the hurricane. They do not have any family and limited amount of friends in Houston.
Our clinical team has been able to send some items through mail, however, we wanted to set up a personal donation method that will go directly to Christina. Any amount of donations would be appreciated as her family goes through this difficult time.
We will add Christina as the beneficiary to the GoFundMe account this week to ensure that she gets the funds directly. The account will stay open and she will get notifications each time a donation is made.
