Christian's Journey

Donation protected
In September of 2016 Christian was getting ready to have a great 8th grade school year.  He started having headaches. Not a normal headache, mind crushing, make you throw up (literally) headaches.  Was it the flu? From his Mom Caroline in October:  "Christian has been sick for over a month now. 32 days straight of headache and vomiting have taken a toll he has lost 16 lbs and missed a ridiculous amount of school.Doctors have ruled out many scary things but we still do not have any answers. In typical Christian fashion he is still smiling and is maintaining a good additude."  They live close to one of the best Children's Hospitals in the country.  Seattle Childrens and Mary Bridge have done countless tests, spinal taps, colonoscopy, MRI's endoscopy, and the list goes on and on.  He missed just about all of his 8th grade year. He had some improvments but then the headaches would come back with a full vengence.  Pain so bad he couldn't visit with friends.  But through it all he has remained positive with that amazing smile on his face.  His Mom, Dad, sister and brother have been there to try to help.  Caroline hasn't been able to work due to all of the Dr visits and because Chritian needs someone with him full time.  And for anyone that knows her knows what a saint she is.  Always the first to be there to help someone out.  Even if she doesn't know you very well.  Now it is out turn.  Ohhhh medical bills.  They are in the thousandssss, even with insurance.  With Childrens running out of options they have headed to Phoenix.  None of the travel is covered of course but what we all wouldn't give to do anything for our children.  Here is the latest update from Caroline "Christian update time .
We are in Pheonix .He had a consultation with a neurologist this morning ,she was very thorough and has several lines of treatment to explore. We are extremely excited to have some new options.Christian was admitted to Pheonix Children's Hospital this afternoon and we are ready to get the ball rolling . He is headed in a few min to do a nerve block ...they will go in through his nose ,the proceedure is simple and will not be painful at all,it will only take a few hours to determine if it provides any relief . Tomorrow they will start a new medicine protical. We are expecting to be in the hospital for less than a week.
As always we are grateful for all your love and support."  At this point anything will help...$5, $50, $50000000 :-) Please share with all.  Thank you all so much,
Lauri
