Christians in Cuba

Cuba is close to my heart. I was born in Havana in 1970. Over the past year, we have a had the opportunity to travel to Cuba twice to meet with Christians there. I was hoping to open a door: a door to strengthen, a door of support, a door to furthur the teaching of the Gospel in that country.
We have been fortunate enough to begin supporting the needs of these Christians through the generosity of our brethren in the U.S.  It is an extremely poor country. The Christians there do not have much. Many of them meet in buildings that we would consider condemned in the U.S.  Many of them live in homes with no running water, no solid floors, roofs that leak, and much worse. Clothing is sparce. Food is rationed. 
At this time, they have been hit with the brunt of Hurricane Irma. There is devatation throughout Cuba. Many of our brothers and sisters have lost homes and the very few "valuables" they had. And of course, there is no help coming to them from other countries, as there is to other places in the world. 
It is my goal to travel there in the next week or two, when we are able to assess their needs, to deliver items they need. They do not have the luxury of purchasing the items they lost at the closest store. The finds you are generously donating will be periodically withdrawn, as needs arise, and used to purchase the necessities they are unable to purchase in Cuba, and I will travel there to personally deliver these items. There may also be opportunities to wire money to the Christians in need from time to time. So your ongoing support is very helpful.
If you have the desire to help in this capacity, it will be greatly appreciated by our brethren there. Any small amount helps in the very big picture of devestation they face.
