Christiana was my first girlfriend in high school and has the kindest heart I can imagine. She has been on the front lines for all of us, let’s please give back.

MHS classmates: Christiana lost her home in the fire. She’s the Fire Chief up the McKenzie and made the call to evacuate everyone, all while working to protect the community. She is a hero and a bad-ass woman with a kind heart. The below was borrowed from someone else:
World, meet Rainbow. I am not an emotional person by nature, but I cannot help but shed a few tears in honor of and in homage to this woman.
Rainbow and I have been friends for years. Soul sisters. Knit together in weirdness. Rainbow is the bad mamma jamma Fire Chief of the Upper McKenzie Rural Fire Protection District near Blue River, Oregon where the Holiday Farm Fire has been rearing its incredible and ugly head this week. Rainbow, and half a dozen of her district volunteers, had their own homes burn to the ground while they were out saving lives and mitigating damage from the fire. They lost everything.
Rainbow made the call to raise the evacuation level early so that the citizens in her jurisdiction had time to get out safely. Rainbow is a full blown, grass roots, salt-of-the-earth hero. And tonight, when she stopped by our station to grab a few items, Rainbow found a fledgling grebe - a diving duck-type water bird - flopping around on the ground near her rig. And because she knows a phoenix moment when she sees it, Rainbow didn't stop until she caught this little sucker and placed him back in the river.
I watched this woman in awe. Soot-covered, exhausted, tapped out, and hurting. She held a tiny creature in her arms because that's the kind of incredible human she is. Please share so the world can join me in honoring one of the most beautiful specimens of humanity that I have ever known.
