FORMER Christian Psych Providers & Staff Relief

It comes with great sadness to have to create this GoFundMe, but on the night of Saturday, January, 9, 2021, there was a GREAT injustice done to a long standing mental healthcare practice, Christian Psychotherapy in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. It closed without any notice and left everyone involved devastated and lost.
To give you a brief overview, upon the owner's death in August 2020, Dr. Page Huff, a new management structure "Board of Directors" was formed and outsiders were even brought in under the guise of helping Dr. Page Huff’s legacy live on and continue to help the community with their mental healthcare needs and to continue providing a work home to over 100 clinicians and staff locally.
There may be many reasons for this abrupt closure, but unfortunately none are being communicated to the staff and providers. You see we were kept in the dark under the guise it is confidential. We would hear from the "Board of Directors" we are under legal obligations not to discuss it, but at the end of the day this is what they did to over 100 staff and providers and their over 60,000 patients.
1. They closed during the night on a weekend and locked the doors so no one could come in and retrieve their belongings or patient records.
2. They created a potential abandonment environment for over 60,000 patients that every clinician is trying (even as I type this) to contact them and let them know they are working on getting to another practice or opening up their own.
3. They gave a glimmer of hope in their immediate termination of the practice letter that they would try to make payroll in full or partial to staff and providers on the next payroll - 1/19/21 for providers, and this past Friday for their staff, but then went ahead and did not provide one penny to anyone with no word or notice to anyone. They let us all find out by viewing our empty bank accounts.
So, this is why I am bringing this GoFundMe to the community of Hampton Roads, the community of Christian Believers and the community of Mankind. There has been a great injustice done to so many people in this dire situation. Right now, every staff member and provider is scrambling to get situated either at another practice or a new practice so that these 60,000 patients have their provider that they can still see and get the care that they need. There are so many costs associated with this that is being left up to to staff and providers such as - funds to mail patients, time to call every patient, start up business costs to open up new practices, getting credentialed by the insurance companies which can take up to 120 days according to the laws in Virginia, advertising to let patients know where their clinician is, business cards, electronic medical record fees, license changes, etc., etc. The direct and indirect costs are endless and substantial!
I am asking for ANY donation you can make to the former staff and providers at Christian Psychotherapy Services that have been affected by all of this and would be GREATLY appreciated in this trial that we are enduring. All funds will be split among staff and providers (excluding the board of directors and outside management and council they hired) to make up for all of our stolen earnings and wages during this time. Right now they have stolen 2 months worth of earnings from all of the staff and providers. Any funds that come in above those costs, will be split evenly among everyone to help the transition process even greater. The BIG goal is to get everyone transitioned in place so these 60,000 patients can continue their mental healthcare needs!
