Christi and Sue's Road to Rebuilding
Donation protected
I am Becky Reichard, the Director of Client Services from Senior Citizens Council of Clackamas County. I have worked directly with Christi and Sue for several years.
Many of you know Christi and Sue from their long careers with the Council. They have dedicated their careers, over 50 years combined, to helping the most vulnerable, abused and exploited seniors and people with disabilities. Their assistance and intervention saved many lives. In their personal lives, they are generous and open hearted with friends and family. They are always there, lending a helping hand.
But now they need our help. Their beloved home of 30 years, that they built themselves in the Estacada forest, has been lost due to wildfires. They were able to get out to safety after receiving a Level 3 "Go Now!" evacuation order without warning. But the house and all of their belongings are gone. They currently have only a few possessions and the clothes on their backs. The photo below is of the sky and fire in Estacada.
Please help these beautiful people who have always given to others. Any small amount will help them move forward to rebuilding their lives. The money will be spent on clothing, food, gas money, and housing needs such as blankets, beds, sheets, dishes and silverware.
Thank you so much.
Disclosure: I am a long time coworker and friend of Christi and Sue, and I will be receiving and distributing all of the funds directly to them. I'll be writing a check or checks and will be delivering that personally to them at their hotel. First check will go out with in 2 to 5 business days.
