Christen & Po's Pride Month Fundraiser

Tax deductible
As many of you may know, June is Pride Month, a month to celebrate the history of Pride, and the members of the LGBTQIA+ community! So, this year as a way to celebrate Pride month, Christen and I have joined together along with some local Portland businesses to raise money for the Trevor Project.

The mission of The Trevor Project is to end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning young people. They focus mostly on the mental health of queer youth by providing a safe international space (Trevor Space), 24/7 crisis counselors, research, public education, and advocacy.

Christen and I have compiled some prizes (with collaboration from a couple of our favorite local Portland shops and Jersey Mike's) that YOU have the opportunity to win! To enter:
- donate $30+ to this GoFundMe
- send me a receipt of your doing so (screenshot to my email, Twitter or Insta DM)
-follow: @trevorproject, @ettaandjamesjct, and @portlandleather  on Instagram and/or Twitter

Once you’ve completed all the steps, we will enter your name in the drawing for one of the many prizes!
(Must be in the US to enter. Sorry, we can't do international shipping at this time.)

-(2) Etta & James Tee and Sticker Combo (send me your shirt size w/ receipt of donation)

To be more specific about what the Trevor Project does:
Provides confidential crisis counselors 24/7, 365 days a year for kids who are coming out, questioning their identity, experiencing depression, or thoughts of suicide. They offer educational services to allies and educators to help them better support LGBTQ+ young people and understand their needs. They offer TrevorSpace, an affirming, online community for LGBTQ young people between the ages of 13-24, creating a space for users to connect, offer advice, and make friends in a community designed for them. Additionally, the Trevor Project works hard to end Conversion Therapy, sometimes referred to as “reparative therapy,” which
is a dangerous and discredited practice aimed at changing an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

How your money is used by the Trevor Project:
-They plan to train a record
number of crisis counselors.
Every counselor can reach
over 100 LGBTQ young people. Your money can help provide these training services.
-Helps them continue to provide
all of our crisis services 24/7
and free of cost
-Assists them in expanding their
research and advocacy efforts
