His Story:
Christopher turned 28 years old on Saturday February 2nd, 2019. The day before one of his favorite days of the year Super Bowl Sunday.
However, this Sunday February 3rd, 2019 changed his life forever. Chris was diagnosed with Stage 3 Testicular Cancer that had spread to his lungs, brain and behind his eye. Chris was not discharged from hospital until almost a month and a half since February 3rd. Chris had to withdrawal from being a full-time student and is not able to work during this time.
Chris was treated with four rounds of very aggressive chemotherapy. Chris had to check into the hospital for about a week and a half for each chemotherapy session due to being extremely weak.
Chris has healthcare, but the medical expenses are beyond what insurance was able to cover. Between long hospital stays, cancer treatment, MRIs, CT scans, medication, blood transfusions etc. Chris’s mom also took a lot of time off from work to be able to help Chris during this difficult time.
Chris is now slowly, but surely working hard at doing life as normal as possible. He’s doing this by gaining strength, eating healthy, and staying positive knowing there are a handful of doctor visits, tests to follow.
