Please help us raise money to purchase the necessary medical equipment needed so that
CHRIS KREUTZ can GO HOME!
As many of you may know, Chris suffers from a rare disease called CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy). A very basic explanation for CIDP is that the immune system thinks the nerves are bad and starts to eat the nerve from the outside in until they are destroyed. The nerve damage then causes loss of muscle and movement. This disease has paralyzed Chris from the neck down. He can no longer walk, reposition, feed or bathe himself. He is completely dependent upon another person for his care. Not only does he suffer from this rare disease but he is less than 10% with the disease, that have had it effect his ability to speak and breath. Chris's doctors are trying to maintain his current state and stop the disease from progressing by giving him IVIG treatments. The medicine alone for one treatment costs around $9000.00. He receives 12 treatments a month. WOW, run that math. Thank the good Lord for insurance.
Chris is currently living in a nursing home and is only 42 years old. His only wish is to be able to be taken care of at home. While we have most things set and ready to go for that to happen... we are still in need of some medical equipment to care for him. This equipment is very expensive and isn't completely covered by his insurance so we are asking our friends and family for help. Without this equipment, Chris will not he able to come home.
We are asking all of our friends and family to help in anyway you can. If ALL our Facebook friends donated $5.00 - $10.00 a piece, we could raise enough money to purchase the necessary items.
