Paving the Path to the PGA Tour

What serious amateur golfer hasn’t dreamed of being a professional, winning PGA Tour events? Imagine, free clubs to demo, never buying balls again, wealthy sponsors, and manicured courses often in exotic places (Kapalua, Dubai, Carmel). Add to that the chance to make an excellent living just by playing a game we all love. Sounds great doesn’t it?
However, while not impossible, it is extremely difficult to reach this level of success. It is difficult for many reasons . . . significant competition for limited sponsor’s, an ever increasing number of skilled athletes, (unfortunately for professional golfers starting out), and a lack of adequate funding. For me, financing, loans, and access to local sponsors has been my challenge.
My name is Christopher Gray and I am looking for help pursuing my dream of playing on the PGA Tour. I am a dedicated and talented professional golfer struggling, not for lack of talent but lack of financial support and investment. To date, I have played in 2 PGA Tour events, numerous Nation Wide Tour/ Web.com events and have advanced to sectional qualifyers for the US Open 6 times. In order to take the next step towards maintaining a sustainable career as a professional golfer I will need to play in as many tournaments as possible. That is the only way my game will reach its full potential and to do so requires sufficient funding.
I am reaching out to my friends, family and community with hopes of inspiring you all to help me with my quest to the PGA Tour. My race to the tour starts early in 2015 with a trip to Florida to play 12 events for January and February where I will make a strong start. Early contributions through this site will make this start a reality. Capital raised will go towards tournament fees which average $350-$1100, practice sessions, travel and housing expenses. In most cases, I travel by car to cut costs and my stays are short so I can return home to my young family.
Any contribution help toward the final goal.
