Thank you everyone for your incredible generosity!!
We have enough for a week - but what if she could go to the Mediterranean instead of the Caribbean? What if we could send her there for 10 days instead of a week? What if there were enough for a VIP package - nothing less than what she deserves!
We don't have to stop here - ANY AND ALL FUNDS ABOVE THE GOAL WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE VACATION FUND - just like the funds already donated. None of this money will go towards anything besides her gift!

Dear CSU Mechanical Engineering Alumni and Future Alumni,
Chriselda Engel, our dear and most resilient student advisor, has recently announced her retirement from the Department of Mechanical Engineering effective December of 2014. Through the years, she has guided us, cheered us on, and been the glue that keeps our scholastic careers together when something went wrong.
In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, let's find a way to say THANK YOU to her - for being effective, but also for being our friend as we struggled through engineering!
Some of us (alum and current students alike) have gathered together and we are asking for your donations - we'd like to put together a BIG GIFT for Chriselda, which is only commensurate for the work she's put in for us! We are asking for $4000 - which is enough to send her and her husband on a week long cruise almost anywhere of her choosing, plus air fare.
Please consider donating $20 to the Bon Voyage Chriselda cause. It may not feel like $20 will help, but if every graduating senior in just this year's class gave, we would meet our goal. Fundraising will end December 1, 2014.
PLEASE HELP US SAY THANK YOU - Any donations are appreciated and celebrated! Feel free to leave notes for Chriselda in the comments - we will compile them and give them to her as part of the surprise!
