For those of you that know my husband Chris, you know that he is a fun, selfless, loving, hardworking husband and father to our 2 year old son Cooper. What you may not know is that Chris is battling cancer.
In April 2014, Chris was diagnosed with Testicular cancer and went through the procedure to have the cancer mass removed along with the removal of his left testicle in the hopes of removing the cancer from his body. In June 2014 we received the news we weren't expecting to hear. The cancer spread.
As of this moment, Chris is undergoing chemotherapy on a weekly basis to rid his body of his cancer. He will be undergoing treatment until late September and won't be able to return to work until November, possibly December.
We are asking for anyone to share this page to in hopes of support financially, emotionally and spiritually for Chris. He has already missed several days of work and will not be returning to work for several months. Chris has a long road to recovery ahead.
If you are unable give financially, please give educationally. Testicular cancer is the leading cancer in men aged 15-35. Testicular is extremely curable if caught in early stages. Please, please, please spread testicular cancer awareness. Young men are most affected by this cancer yet there is little awareness. Monthly testicular exams are the easiest way to detect testicular cancer. If you feel a lump or abnormality, make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible.
Every hour a man is diagnosed with testicular cancer. Everyday lives are lost due to testicular cancer.
