Hi Friends!
We are so excited and honored to be going back to Kenya with a wonderful group of people from Gateway Community Church. This is our second trip together and Chris’s third trip back. We love the people and the children we have met there and have fallen in love with the country. Our mission to Africa is set for this October and we are so thrilled to continue our partnership with an extraordinary organization called Project82 Kenya.
Project82's mission is a "response to God’s call to love and care for orphans in Kenya by developing sustainable solutions, which empower local leadership to disciple, feed, clothe and educate the orphans in their community." There are 2.5 million orphans in Kenya. We will be lending our hands and our hearts to support their children’s home in Molo, Kenya and their infant rescue center in the town of Nanyuki, Kenya. Project82 allows us to minister to these children through building relationships, providing resources, and supporting their guardian empowerment programs.
We know God has plans for Kenya and we are honored to be a part of the work He is doing there. First and foremost, please pray for our team and us as we embark on this journey. Second, as you might imagine, the trip for both of us is quite costly. For each of us, the trip cost is $2800. That is a total of $5,600 for both of us and includes flights, lodging, food, security, etc. We know this is a large total, but anything you can donate will help. We truly believe through prayer, preparation and good stewardship God will provide for us. If you are able to give in any way, please use this site to contribute to our fundraising. If you are not able to give financially, please commit to supporting us with your prayer. We are so grateful! Prayer is the most powerful way to impact everyone on this trip.
