Rebuild after forest fire

On 19 June, a huge forest fire ripped through our Vegan Hills community and several other local communities. The fire was devastating for many people, including us. After six months of daily hard work, we finally got to the point of being able to enjoy what we had built. Within days, the fire took everything. And all that is left is the clean up job. We have spent around €35,000 on the build and energy set up and furniture, plus we have lost our clothes, electronics and sentimental things we brought from the UK.
It's so hard for us to do this, and it goes against all of our instincts, but we are swallowing our pride and responding to the family and friends who have expressed wonderful kindness and support. Many people have asked if they can donate some money to help us both get back on our feet following this disaster which has robbed us of our home and the dream we had.
I need to stress that we are not financially destitute, but we do not know how much of what we have left is going to be needed for our future home; we are unsure right now how and where we will rebuild. But, money raised will be used to help us rebuild in whatever way we decide to do that. There is also a fundraiser for the Vegan Hills community, so let us know if you prefer to give to that. Whatever we raise will be money that we don't take out of the community funds. We are only doing this in response to those who have asked if they can donate, so please do not do so unless you can afford to do so; especially in these uncertain and financially difficult times for everyone.
We know that we can rebuild our life here and we are not ready to give up on our dream yet!
