Adopt a Family for Christmas 2014

Well, it's Christmas time again! Well....actually not quite but before you know it Christmas will be upon us! Christmas is the most beautiful time of the year but for a family in need, one that is suffering from hardships resulting from health problems, an accident or disaster, this time of year can be the most difficult especially when there are children involved. Over the last few years my heart has been broken a number of times seeing families with children having trouble making it through the Christmas season. Not only because they can't afford presents for their children but because they can't afford to heat their homes, pay their electric bill, buy food or pay their mortgage or rent all because of something that happened to them that was beyond their control! This year I want to help a family avoid those worries and that is why I am organizing an event that will hopefully bring loads of Christmas Cheer to a local family in need.
On Saturday night, November 29, 2014 at Governors Hall at Sailwinds Park myself and a few of my friends will be presenting "An Evening of Christmas Praise with Chris Abbott and Friends". This Family Friendly Christmas concert will feature Contemporary Christian songs, as well as both traditional and modern Christmas songs and a few surprises all performed by an incredible group of local musicians (I will post their info soon!) who are donating their time and talents to help this great cause! But we need YOUR help!
Our goal is to raise $5000 to cover the rental of the venue, production and any additional costs. Donate what you can because every little bit helps! We have setup Reward Levels for those wishing to reserve their seats for this great event! For a $50 donation you will receive 2 reserved seats at one of the 18 tables closest to the stage! $100 donations will get you 4 seats at one of these tables and a $200 donation will reserve 8 tickets, which is a whole table! Once we reach our goal we will no longer be offering reserved seating. Any funds raised over this goal will be donated directly to the adopted family.
And just who is this adopted family? Well, we don't know yet. And guess what....neither will they! It's a surprise! But they will be in attendance that night and will find out at the end of the concert! We will be working with local churches and charities in the months leading up to the concert to select a family to adopt!
