Chris' Come Back - Medical & Rehabilitation

His name is Chris Gillis and for those of you who know him or had the pleasure of meeting him would have been touched by his lasting impression.  He is a friend, brother and companion to everyone he's met.  Last week, Chris set out for a motorcycle ride to take in the scenery and tranquility on Manitoulin Island.  On this journey he met a horrific fate.  Chris hit a deer and the accident has left him with injuries that will change his life forever.  Chris is now a paraplegic and his road to recovery will be a long and challenging one.  

Biking is not Chris' only passion, those that know him have witnessed his love, generosity, community spirit and willingness to give back at every opportunity.  From rescuing dogs in order to find them better homes, to building homes for those to have better lives, Chris has always made it his mission to give back to others.  Being a Paramedic takes love and commitment and one can't begin to tally the number of lives he's saved as a result of his compassion and dedication to humanity.  It is our time to rally together and give back to this exceptional man, so he too can move forward with a fulfilling life he wishes others to have.

Chris' road to recovery will include rehabilitation, medical equipment, not to mention travel for his family to help assist with his recovery.  Chris has a beautiful and strong family but no family can bare this heartache alone.  They need our help and a monetary donation is one way we can make a difference for Chris and his family as they embark on a journey none of us can imagine.
