Our close, longtime friend Chris Turner has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. MS is a chronic disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the myelin sheath that protects your nerves and allows for rapid transmission of signals from the brain to the rest of the body. Although MS remains incurable, those with proper medical treatment and access to physical therapy can surmount even the greatest of obstacles. Both medicine and physical therapy mitigate the progression of Multiple Sclerosis. The former Chris has been receiving, however, the later has been intermittent and inconsistent due to financial constraints. The good news is that Chris continues to remain in high spirits and has a plan that will provide him with both treatment and persistent physical therapy along with flexible employment.
With your generous support, Chris hopes to relocate into the home of friends, one of whom is a certified in-home care specialist in Portland, Oregon. Chris's other new roommate will also employ Chris to work part time from home during the day on a flexible schedule, allowing him to stick to a rigorous physical training routine under the supervision and support of close friends and medical professionals. Although we are asking for only $4,300.00 additional donations would be appreciated to help smooth the transition. For more information and breakdown of the costs see below.

Jarvis- Chris will enjoy the daytime company of a live-in certified therapy dog to help combat the emotional toll of his diagnosis and the limits his condition places on his mobility
