Chris' Nursing Volunteer Trip

My name is Chris Schoenmann and I am a first year nursing student at University of North Georgia. I have an opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic for 7 days this summer to not only earn some credit for school, but to help the people of the Domincan Republic get medical care they would not normally have access to. We will travel as a group with El Buen Samaritano Hospital, a local traveling hospital, to overpopulated areas of the country, set up a free clinic and provide care such as wound management, pain assessments, preventable disease control, parasite infection control and prevention, vision care, and so much more.

Your support in this cause would help me gain so much knowledge in healthcare and would allow me the rewarding opportunity to serve these people by providing basic care. Your donation would go towards the cost of airfare, transportation, housing, medical supplies, tuition, and meals while in the Domincan Republic. Any extra funds raised will be used to purchase much needed supplies to take with us.
