Chris Knight “Cancel out Cancer” Fundraiser

One of my dearest friends, Chris Knight, needs your help.
This past January 2019, Chris was feeling poorly and doctors found that he had several blood clots. He started taking blood thinners and unwanted side effects started to appear. After a PET scan the doctors said these side effects were from Lymphoma. A biopsy at the end of February diagnosed this father of 3 with Non-Hodgkins B cell Lymphoma and chemotherapy was needed.
Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma generally involves the presence of cancerous lymphocytes in your lymph nodes. But the disease can also spread to other parts of your lymphatic system. These include the lymphatic vessels, tonsils, adenoids, spleen, thymus and bone marrow.
He and his wife visited with the Dr thinking chemo would be a few hours every three weeks and hopefully allowing him to continue to work in between treatments. The Dr called he and his wife to his office on February 28th to say this cancer is aggressive and needed to be treated aggressively. He was admitted to the hospital where chemo will be administered around the clock for five days. He is currently taking these treatments as I type this letter. He then will be released to go home for 3 weeks. After which, the same regimen will be administered again. Chris will have to do this 6 different times and it’s not guaranteed to completely cancel out his cancer. The side effects will cause the him (the family’s sole provider) to be out of work for most of 2019. I don’t need to tell you how much this will impact their family with their regular bills, and now hospital bills on top of everything else. All of this while praying for his survival. It’s a nightmare.
Help is needed immediately and well into the year. My goal is to alleviate the stress of money so that they can focus on his health with prayer, love and support. I ask for your monetary help now as well as your prayer. Please help me help them ease the burden that has fallen upon this amazing man and his sweet family.

I’ve known Chris since I was able to walk down the street of our neighborhood in Red Oak Texas and we’ve been friends/ brothers ever since. He’s always been athletic and valued his health, taking care of his body by exercising and practicing Jiu Jitsu. He’s never even had a sip of alcohol. Chris is a devoted Christian who serves in his community and his church in Ovilla Texas. He has been married 19 years to his wife Lindsey. His pride and joy comes from his 3 children Owen (7), Ava (11) and Evan (14). He is a doting father that helps coach baseball and assist with soccer games and youth ministry at his church. He loves serving in song and leads the congregation in music. He works hard in the Elevator Union and has such a happy go lucky spirit about him. Chris Knight is a rare breed, completely selfless to his core and never meets a stranger. He is always helping others in need.
Cancer touches us all at some point. Chris would never ask for your help. That’s why I am asking for him. Please find it in your heart to give to this cause in the most desperate of times.
