In July of this year my BFF April got engaged on Mackinac Island excited to start a new chapter with her amazing fiance.
Shortly after the proposal, Chris went to the local ER for back pain. From that point he was immediately transferred to the University of Michigan Cardiac ICU with an aortic dissection. The surgeon at the University of Michigan Cardiac ICU describes the situation as "very dangerous" as they await surgery.
This diagnosis began in 2002 when Chris experienced a life exchanging aortic aneurysm that ended his days of playing sports and limited his employment options as he now had lifetime restrictions.
Chris is currently off work for the foreseeable future as he waits for surgery in the University of Michigan Cardiac ICU. It is critical Chris keeps a low blood pressure and as everyone knows, medical bills and basic living expenses can become overwhelming on top of the stress of surgery.
I have setup this gofundme for friends and family to assist where they can while waiting for surgery and during recovery.
