Chris Carpenter was a hard-working and fun-loving husband to Donna, father to Andrew and Alex, stepfather to Ashley, Jamie, Robert, and Kelly, and "Grandpa Chris" to twelve grandkids. He passed away suddenly, leaving everyone who loved him devastated and heartbroken. Due to the unfortunate circumstance of losing his stepdaughter, Jamie, three years ago while in the process of transferring from Billings, Montana to Houston, Texas, Chris had to make the move alone, as Donna moved to Bakersfield, California to help care for Jamie's three young children. Understanding of this situation, Chris' numerous friends, co-workers, and family have expressed a desire to help in any way they can to relieve the family of some of the stress and of moving of Chris' belongings back to California.
Chris loved being an engineer at Phillips 66, and worked hard to support his family, which was evident in his ability and selflessness to support two households after the devastating loss of his stepdaughter. He was a loyal fan of any sport played by his alma mater, Purdue, and a die-hard Raiders fan, even through their rough years (ha!). Most of all, Chris was a good man with the biggest heart many will ever have the privilege of meeting. We were blessed to have known him, and a lucky many were extra blessed to have known him with a title: Friend, Brother, Uncle, Son, Grandpa, Dad, and Husband.
This GoFundMe account has no goal, as it is simply a place for the people he knew all over the country (in addition to his many moves and travels, Chris has family and friends in Indiana, where he was born and raised) to have a common place to express tribute, condolences, and if compelled, to make a small donation to help with immediate costs and expenses. As with any sudden loss, any kind expression is appreciated to help ease the stress at this difficult time. Thank you in advance.
