Chris Broadhead's Covid fight
Polk County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriff Chris Broadhead is a 32-year-old father of five, married to his wife Elisa, who was also a Deputy in the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Chris is the sole provider in his household, often picking up additional shifts to make ends meet. He is a graduate from the University of Florida, and attended International Baccalaureate Academy at Bartow High School. He is the quentessential, “Guy Everyone Loves."
Chris is battling Covid, after the family got sick with covid around 7/27/2021. Chris’ one year old daughter spent 4 days in and out of the hospital. On August 6 Chris was admitted. On August 14 he was moved from hi flow o2 to a bipap. Less than 24 hours later Chris was on a ventilator. Unfortunately, Chris was called home and passed away on 08/23/2021.
This is going to be a long and difficult road for his family, and any support, prayer, assistance, words of encouragement will be so greatly appreciated. Elisa and Chris are fighters and they are a family of fighters. Chris fought valiantly and Elisa will have to continue to fight to raise their family. Help us join their fight by taking care of some of the expenses.
Chris' family was the most important thing to him. Help take care of the thing closest to that giant heart of his. They will most certainly need all the assistance we can provide as Chris was the family's only source of income.
