Chris Bontrager's Medical Fund

On Tuesday night, unfortunately, Christopher was in a serious car accident. One he is extremely lucky to have survived, but one that has left him with a long road of recovery. He has broken bones from his leg to his ear, and several more in between, however, his smile, sense of humor, and spirit is still strong.

For those of you who don't know him, although many of you I'm sure do in some way, shape or form, Christopher is an incredible person. He is by far the kindest, most compassionate, humble, positive person, and I would dare to say simply, and genuinely the greatest human being I have ever had the chance of knowing, let alone be related to. Those of you who know him or who have ever met him I'm sure can understand and know exactly what I am talking about. Chris, though a cousin of mine, has long been a best friend to me and someone I have considered a second brother for as long as I can remember.

To be honest, life hasn't always dealt out the best of hands for Chris, but his love for life and people and his incredible bravery and strength has always pulled him through. I have no doubt he will make a full recovery and be back to his regular self soon, especially since he has a huge motivation factor coming up soon; A WEDDING! God has blessed Chris by bringing into his life an incredible woman, Jen, and they are set to get married in early May.

Chris will obviously be out of work for a little while because of this, making an already tough financial time on him even harder.  With student loan debt, a wedding coming up quick, and other life expenses, Chris already had a lot on his plate.  Now add on medical expenses and other debts that will occur because of this accident, the burden becomes unfathomable.  My hope is to lessen that burden as much as possible so Chris can have one less thing to stress about and he can fully concentrate on recovery.

I know this time of year is tough being so close to the holidays, but any donation is greatly appreciated as every little bit will help.  All money raised is guaranteed to fully go to Chris to help toward medical expenses and recovery from the accident.  If you do not feel you can donate, please do not feel obligated, as Chris would not want to burden anyone or make them feel forced.  At the very least, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

We love you Chris and pray for a speedy recovery!
