Chris Baier and Family

Hi, my name is Jorey Baier, Chris Baier’s oldest child and daughter. As some of you may already know, my dad was rushed to Memorial hospital by ambulance on Monday, March 4th because he had pain in his chest. He was then transferred to Keck Hospital of USC by helicopter the same night. We were told he would need emergency surgery.. Although surgery has not yet happened, we have since found out he will need 3 open heart surgeries to replace his aorta. The doctors informed my family this will require a hospital stay of 6 months. My mom and dad have been married for 25 years and have spent very minimal time apart. With my dad being several hours away, it is difficult for my mom to not be there with him everyday. My mom will be traveling back and forth between Bakersfield and LA these next few months. This means that she will need to take a personal leave from work to be with my dad as much as possible during this difficult time. These funds will go towards my mom’s travel expenses, food, and lodge. Any donations will help and are greatly appreciated.
