Chris' Ankle Injury

Donation protected
Chris is living proof that sometimes the worst things happen to the best people.

On Saturday, July 1st, Chris was playing in a grass volleyball tournament when he got seriously injured. He severely dislocated his ankle and broke his fibula. An ambulance came to the site and immediately took him to the emergency room, where he learned he would need surgery the following day. The doctors successfully implanted a plate, along with two screws and a bolt to hold all bones in place. After two days at the hospital, Chris was sent home, and he is now facing a challenging and long road to recovery. In addition to PT sessions, Chris is dealing with limited mobility and his inability to drive for the next couple of months (at least).

The timing for the accident was extremely unfortunate, since Chris had just recently quit his job, and with it, terminated his medical benefits.  While Chris is aiming to get better, he also needs to manage the astronomical bills attached to his healing process.

Chris is a fierce competitor, a caring coach, and most importantly, a kind and loving friend to all. He never hesitates to put others before himself, and now it is our turn to show him our appreciation for everything he does. Let’s show Chris how much we love him!
