No spouse or child could more proud of the hard fought battle Candice Sahm-Watkins faced so bravely than Chris and their four children!
Shortly after the birth of Chris and Candice's fourth child Candice started her battle with cancer. In the last four years since being diagnosed Candice underwent numerous painful surgeries, radiation and chemo treatments in her effort to beat the unfair odds of surviving. Even though the cancer continued to torment her body, she found the strength to put family as a priority. She fought through the pain to spend birthdays, holidays, rainy days and sunny days with her family - making memories.
Through the many prayers offered up for Candice she was given the strength and time to marry the love of her life - Chris Watkins on August 11, 2018. While their time together was shortened to twelve years, they shared a special love story unlike any that grew stronger through every challenge they faced.
The loss of a spouse is never easy, but dealing with the loss while taking care of four young children has to be unbelievably challenging. Something most all of us will never have to go through. To help ease this pain, I've set up this Go Fund Me for Chris to help him overcome the interim challenges he is working through with childcare and other expenses that are new to him without his bride at his side.
On February 11, 2019 will be Chris and Candice's 6 month wedding anniversary. For the many family and friends that have asked me how to help Chris with the kids, I encourage you to show your love and support through this account and lessen any financial burdens he now faces.
