Chris and Amy's recovery fund

Chris and Amy moved to the Houston area a little over a year ago.   They got a house in a neighborhood recently that had never flooded and didn't even think of getting flood insurance based on the floodplain data.   As you can see, the floodplain data was wrong.  Their house ended up with around 6" of water in it.    It will take thousands of dollars to repair their house.    

Chris works as a contractor in the lab I manage at NASA, Johnson Space Center. These funds will help him and his wife rebuild their house.  We've removed the carpet and opened up the walls, but there's still so much more to do and so much that needs repair and replacing.   Drywall, carpet, trim and furniture just to name a few.  Anything you can do will help.  Chris and Amy will be making withdrawls from the fund as expenses come in.
