Chop's spinal treatment

update: after seeing the vets on and off this week we have had to make an emergency referral for his scan, so I have reopened donations. Thank you again so much to all of you, I’m beyond grateful, this has been a very stressful and upsetting time and you’re all helping so much
So anyone who knows me will know that the love of my life is my little dog, Chop. I adopted him in 2016, he’s a rescue from Hungary and from the day I brought him home he has been my absolute pride and joy.
Unfortunately this evening he suddenly collapsed and lost his ability to walk, and it transpires that he has received a spinal injury. This means he needs a lot of treatment, and highly likely, surgery to fix him so he can walk again and be the happy little wombat that he normally is.
The nature of his treatment is very expensive, he is under hospital care currently, managing his pain and ensuring he doesn’t do more damage with movement. He’s unable to eat or go to the toilet and it’s very touch and go as to what the next steps are.
Sadly I am in a position where I need to come up with a lot of money. His insurance is going to disappear very quickly, we’re talking within a few days. Veterinary care requires money upfront, and once the insurance cover is gone I am extremely stuck, it could be well over £250 a day and there is no telling how long he will take to recover. This evening alone just to have him looked at cleared every penny to my name.
If he goes for surgery, it will be in excess of £5k, and I simply haven’t got that kind of money. I absolutely hate to do this, but the thought of losing my best friend is unbearable.
If you can spare even the smallest amount, I will be eternally grateful, to a level words can’t even explain. I’ve set the initial target to 2K, as I will need to pay for treatment as and when they do it, but it is expected to rise daily :( Any help is so so appreciated, and then hopefully my beautiful boy can get better. He deserves it.
