Chocolate for doctors and elderly during COVID-19

Carambole www.crmbl.nl and Marussia www.chocolate-marussia.ru decided to fundraise money in order to gift chocolate to hospitals and people in nursing homes in Tambov and to save Marussia's business from closing!
Many of you know Maria from Marussia Chocolate and enjoyed her products already at Chocoa 2020 where we had stands next to each other. First female bean to bar maker in Russia - and she's doing it not in the capital, but in the Tambov province! This is a micro scale bean-to-bar business she started in 2013 which was sustainable and provided employment for other women in Tambov.
It is hard to believe but people and small businesses in Russia are not getting any subsidy at all. It is not about quality of life/business. It is about survival at the moment.
Maria is a fighter, and obviously there is no other option as to battle for her business as long as she can. She is a person of honour and is only willing to receive a donation against some deliverable work.
Therefore we decided to fundraise money and to deliver chocolate bars to the following institutions in Tambov (see at the end of the text).
Currently there are a lot of old people isolated in nursing homes in Russia due to COVID-19. The situation is already quite harsh here in Europe but in Russia it is even worse. There are also 2 hospitals in Tambov city where Maria manufactures her chocolate, where doctors need at least a smile while battling the virus in the Russian reality.
Why does Carambole do this?
For 2 simple reasons. To offer those people a little bit of happiness and feeling of not being forgotten. For Maria's business it is a chance to survive in the current economical disaster. Unfortunately Maria doesn't speak english, so on this place I'm helping my colleague and friend with organisation and translation.
How do I know my money went to people?
It is a matter of honour for us and to me personally. Here I can only give my word which is my most valuable currency in this not very profitable world of bean-to-bar, we will be spending each Rubel on chocolate for hospitals and elderly. We will be posting on instagram. Carambole is not benefiting in any way as a business from this action. 100% of the money will go to Maria's little business and will be converted in to the chocolate bars for the institutions.
What do I get out of this?
Knowing people smiling and Maria's business can function will be the only reward. We will be endlessly grateful but won’t offer any chocolate goods in return.
Why do I support someone in Russia so far away?
People and chocolate makers in Russia are pretty much isolated from the worldwide beat-to-bar community and are not getting any subsidy to support their existence at all. Nevertheless they do a great work! In Marussia's case even a little donation will help due to the crashing Rubel currency in Russia. If you consider you are able to support - please do!
And to put my money where my mouth is - Carambole has donated 10% from all the bonbons online purchases of the last 3 weeks to to start this project today!!!
