Charlie's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On July 25th, 2014 Charlie Eaton arrived in Yakima, Washington to meet up with his uncle to see the sights of the west coast and meet extended family before beginning college at Western Michigan University in late August. Charlie was having the best of times, travelling with his uncle and exploring the wilds of Lake Tahoe with his cousins while also taking time to meet with some of the newer arrivals in the family.

On July 30th, Charlie was spending time with his cousin in Sacramento, CA when he decided to take a bicycle ride around the neighborhood. While it’s mostly speculation at this point, what we know is that Charlie took a turn too quickly, skidded out and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Charlie was tended by El Dorado emergency medical technicians and rushed to Roseville’s Sutter Medical Center where he has received top-notch medical care.

At this point, Charlie is expected to make a full recovery over time and we are looking forward to helping him heal among his close family and friends in Michigan but for now, we would appreciate if you would consider donating any amount you can to assist with medical and travel expenses for Charlie and his wonderful family. Thank you to all of Charlie’s friends and family in the wonderful communities of Michigan, Washington, and California who have already assisted tremendously in Charlie’s recovery.
