Chloe's Quest for Kenya

My name is Chloe Roberson. I have been selected as one of ten students nationwide to participate in the Student Shoulder to Shoulder-International School for Global Citizenship program in Kenya this summer. Students Shoulder to Shoulder's (SStS) mission is to inspire high school students to engage in responsible global citizenship through on-line study, full immersion service programs, and public presentation. During the SStS Kenya course, I will have the chance to learn how education can help children orphaned by AIDS to take ownership of their own nation's development toward economic independence.

Attending this program will help me to further my passion for community service and helping others. The curriculum and the interaction with the Kenyan people will definitely address my interest in becoming a global citizen and future leader. Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds. That is why I am asking for your support today.

I am seeking to raise $4,000. I am hoping that you will consider assisting me with some of these costs by contributing towards my fundraising efforts. Your support for my sponsorship request would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for Sponsors of Support. Although my goal is to have at least  20 sponsors to donate $100 or more, I  will accept and be grateful for any monetary donations at any level. 

 The funding for this opportunity was originally due by May 15th but it has recently been extended to May 24th. I am so close to achieving my goal any donations would be appreciated.
