Need Help - Funeral in New Orleans

Donation protected
My best friend, my soul mate, my chosen sister, author, journalist, caporeirista, educator, and public figure, Deborah Cotton, had a remarkable life!
Taken way too soon, She succombed to a 4 year battle with complications from a gun shot she sustained at a Monthers Day Second Line Parade in  2013 in New Orleans.  Deborah Cotton fought valiantly for the rights of victims and advocated for the rights of the people who have harmed them.

Four years ago , while covering the New Orleans  Mother's Day Parade, Deborah was caught in the line of gang gunfire and was seriously injured, taking over 30 surgeries to restore her to a semblance of health.  Almost four years to the day of her injury, Deborah Cotton could no longer manage to keep her health under control and succumbed on May 2nd.

The City of  Orleans  is throwing a Block Party and Second Line Parade in her Honor this June 10th.  It is my only wish to be able to attend ans send her off properly,

Here is where I need your help, my Beloveds:  I have bought my plane tickets and thought I had secured lodging with friends of friends.  Unfortunately, changes ocurred and cost me two of my four days of lodging.
In addition to needing 2 nights lodging, I will need ground transportation, food and beverage allowance.  They don't mess around in New Orleans!

I am not in the financial position to afford to take this trip to honor and say farewell to my sister and best friend without your kind generosity.

I thank you all, in advance, for your kindness, generosity, love and support.  Without you, I am nothing!
