Caring for Chloe

On Valentine's day Chloe suffered a severe head injury from a bike accident. She was life flighted to Phoenix children's with multiple skull fractures and brain injury. The plan currently is extensive monitoring to keep her systems stabile and minimize stress to her body so her brain can heal, keeping her sedated and unconscious until swelling goes down and more imaging can be done. We are realizing this is a very slow process at this point, taking it hour by hour and then day to day for the first couple weeks. We may not know the extent of injury for a long while. 

 
As the days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into months. The time spent in PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) takes its toll on the family emotionally and financially. As we all want to ease the financial burden that is placed on the Donaldson family, this is a way that many of us can help Chloe's family in some small way.
