Chloe's service dog
Donation protected
Chloe has a rare medical condition, Prader-Willi syndrome. A therapy dog will be life changing helping to:
- promote movement and gross motor skills
- reduce her anxiety, improve emotional control and reduce meltdowns
- improve access to public places and social inclusion
- prevent life threatening, morbid obesity
- prevent life threatening food seeking
- manage life threatening skin picking
- alert her parents to absconding
Dogs for Life will specifically select and train a dog for Chloe, backed by a psychologist developed program and with years of training for Chloe her family and the dog. The funds cover the cost of training the dog and us.
It will change Chloe's life as well as that of her family, especially her 4 month old brother. More than 90% of siblings have symptoms of PTSD due to the child with PWS having difficult behaviours, including emotional and physically violent outbursts.
