Chloe's Concussion Fund

Chloe is 14 years old. At age 10, she slipped in mud and fell on the playground at school hitting her head on a metal pole. She was knocked unconscious and had a seizure. We as parents were worried but just thought it was a bump on the head, little did we know, that moment in time would change our life.  Chloe could not put sentences together, could not remember simple tasks and had many symptoms of a concussion.  She was diagnosed with her first concussion that day. Up until January, this year, she has made progress, slow but has made progress. Chloe developed a seizure disorder with her first concussion and we continue to battle seizures, fatigue, headaches, confusion, brain fog and short term memory loss. Chloe is the toughest, sweetest, faithful person that I know.  She struggles through her symptoms daily. In January, while at recess, she was hit in the back of the head again by a football that she did not see coming. That caused a second concussion and all of her symptoms to come flooding back along with new symptoms. She has neck pain, balance issues and continues to struggle with concussion headaches. She sleeps so much, she misses days or even weeks of her life. She is just wondering when it will all end. I have many great friends, and my friends have encouraged me to research this new program called Cognitive Fx. It is ground breaking, MRI scans,  therapies and follow up treatments that takes months but is condensed into 1 week. Insurance does not cover it and it is out of the state that we live in. We will have to Fly to Utah at the end of April for this treatment. Chloe is so excited, she is counting down the days.
