Chloe Stiles Road to Recovery

This is Chloe, a loving and beautiful 26-year-old. Growing up in an athletic family, Chloe naturally became a competitor and quickly found basketball to be her passion. She played and coached throughout her high school and college years. Soon after her college career at the University of Oregon came to a conclusion, Chloe used her education to serve disadvantaged youths, working with kids with developmental delays.
 
In July of 2019, working with a youth camp at a zipline park, Chloe suffered a traumatic fall, shattering both heelbones as well as dislocating her right foot and ankle. Over the course of the past 9 months, Chloe has endured over 10 surgeries, confining her to bed. In December, when she finally got cleared to begin to bear weight, it was discovered that she had developed osteomyelitis, necessitating amputation of her left leg below the knee.
 
On April 27th, Chloe started her new normal. Over the next several months, Chloe will be recovering from the surgery, starting physical therapy, and getting used to living her new normal with a prosthetic leg. Although Chloe is going through a traumatic and life changing event, she is loved, cared, and supported by so many.
