Chloe - Appeal for Vet Care & Funding for Surgery
Chloe has had a challenging life. She came from a terrible situation in a 'puppy farm' in February and was taken in by Dog Rescue Coolronan who cared for her until she was ready to be adopted. Unfortunately, as she didn't realise she was going to be loved and cared for in her new home, Chloe bolted. For the next two months, Chloe lived 'wild' while we tried to locate her, catch her and bring her back.
On Saturday 24th July, we got a call telling us that Chloe had been found. She was in a bad way, tangled in silage twine, her back leg had barbed wire twisted around it and the flesh was exposed to the bone. We freed her and took her to the vet where she was immediately put on a drip to rehydrate her and administer much needed pain killers and antibiotics.
Sadly, Chloe is going to be in the vets for some time until her strength is built up, then she will have to have surgery to remove her leg.
We are appealing for funds to help with Chloe's veterinary care and surgery. Any donations, however small, will be gratefully received.
Thank you.
