Please help me bury my mom

My mother Chinwe Amadi died on Dec. 10, in Nigeria, without any savings or life insurance. She was 54. My mother was a strong, caring, and giving woman who treated people close to her with love. She grew up in Abia, Nigeria, and graduated from the University of Lagos with her master’s degree before being hired in a managing role at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos. She left behind three children which includes me and two brothers, who she cared for until she began suffering from mental illness and was taken away from us for treatment. I was just a small child when she got sick. 


My mother fought that battle medically, traditionally, and spiritually for seven long years before we reunited in 2015. My brothers and I were informed she was in much better condition but still had to be on drugs for the rest of her life. Nothing was ever the same. I emigrated to America in 2016 to pursue my education. In 2018, my father died while in Nigeria. And now, my mother is gone, too. She recently died during one of her episodes. Chinwe Amadi was a God-fearing woman, and I pray God finds it in his heart to have mercy on her soul. 


She was my motivation. When I would wake up some days and not want to get out of bed, the idea of helping her is what kept me going. Now that she's gone, though, I'm still motivated to do right by her. But we need your help. Her body is currently being held at a morgue in Nigeria, and my brothers in Nigeria are trying to figure out how to give her a proper burial. But my mother was not working at the time of her death, and my family is stretched thin. We need your help in raising funds for the burial so she can be buried with dignity and respect. Anything that you can spare is appreciated and will go a long way.
