My name is Denise Bar and I live in Chino Hills, California.
My oldest son is a sophomore at Chino Hills High School, and had a very close friendship to the two boys who attempted to take their lives, one actually succeeding.
I am also the founding admin of a Facebook community group called Chino Hills connections also known as CHC.
Through this group our community has become stronger and more involved and always rallies together when it is needed most.
In past 6 months, Chino Hills High School and our community suffered two tragedies involving a suicide and an attempt at suicide impacting everyone at the school.
Counselors along with school administration developed a concept to provide some comfort for the student body, teachers, and staff by the way of a safe, tranquil Mindfulness Resource Center.
There is currently space available for this center but there is no funding for furnishing and fixtures to make this vision a reality.
They are looking to raise money in order to bring this center to life sooner rather than later.
Once the money is withdrawn I will write a check to the school in the full amount so they can get this project on the road.
