Children's Arts Org. Volunteer Work in Nairobi

Hi! We are Julia Bergua(26) and Nick Jones(28), two professional ballet dancers from Spain and The UK who want to share our love and experience of this craft.
Since January 2018 we are volunteering with Anno's Africa , a children's arts charity running educational arts projects for children living in impoverished conditions in Nairobi, Kenya. They teach a variety of art forms (drama, music, traditional dance, ballet and circus) three days a week in various schools in their community, where children can express themselves and develop their passions in a creatively stimulating environment.
We will be returning to Kenya in the beginning of July, where we will be organizing and performing in a Dance Gala in collaboration with the children of this program. We have invited some of our friends and colleagues from various ballet companies and we are so looking forward to share and receive an exchange of ideas involving creative expression with the children and people of Nairobi.
In this fundraiser we ultimately want to cover the expenses for everything the organisation requires to put on the performance.
It will be composed of different duos, solos and a collaborative opening and closing in which all children of the community are welcomed and encouraged to participate in.
Our main goal for this Gala is to share how we use dance to express ourselves and communicate through ballet and in turn wish to learn how the children of the Anno's organization use their physical vocabulary to do the same through their various styles and techniques.
In the end all the proceeds from this event will be donated to Anno's Africa in hopes to continue their strong support of the arts in their community.
