On Friday afternoon, September 22, the love of my life and best friend died suddenly and unexpectedly while competing in an adventure race in Pennsylvania. By all accounts, he felt no pain and never knew that his heart was failing. His final view in this life was of green hills and a mountain stream -- long the kind of place that was his sanctuary in this world. My grief knows no limits for what I and our children will no longer be and have in him. All of us are better because he was here. Please pray for me, for our children, and our whole family.
