Chief's Lymphoma Treatments

Donation protected
Chief was born on September 27, 2014 and has had a very fulfilling and active life. He is always there to greet anybody he meets with a smile and all the love he can give. He has selflessly been there for my family and I throughout all the stresses life has to offer.

On September 5th, 2018 I noticed two lumps under his chin and brought him to the vet right away. My vet referred me to a specialist and on September 7th, Chief was diagnosed with Lymphoma. A cancer in the lymph nodes that is treatable, but not curable. Without treatment the cancer would quickly take over his body and eventually take is life. The specialist explained all of the options for Chief and what would be the best treatments for him, which is Chemotherapy. With the Chemotherapy treatments, Chief will have the chance to continue a happy life. Eventually the cancer will win but it could  be 3 months or 3 years. Taking all of this in, I was stunned and the thought had never crossed my mind to put money aside for something like this.

Chief is hands down my best friend and I never imagined I would be researching options for him at such a young age. He is also a major part of the lives of my sister and mother. He is always so excited to see them and go for car rides to any place they need to go. He also loves his trips to the fire station to visit my sister and her crew. He definitely helps them release some stress after a long day of running calls. Needless to say, our family and our fire family revolve around all of the love that Chief has to offer. The funds that are raised would solely be used to help pay for his chemotherapy treatments and his medications. He would be doing a 16 week Chemotherapy program that would hopefully put the Lymphoma into remission and allow him to continue living the happiest life he can live. If there is any left over funds that are not used, I will donate what is left to another family that is being affected by this terrible disease so they may have the opportunity to provide the right treatments they see fit for their pet.

I wouldn’t even be able to explain my gratitude and thankfulness for any donation Chief receives. Chief without a doubt saved my life and I want to and will do anything I can possibly do in order to save his.

We thank you so much for reading our story and doing your best to lend a helping hand.

With love and thanks,

Chief, Travis, and Family
