Chidut’s Medical Problem

Chidut is a very active cat. He walks on a leash and loves to go for a walk. Weeks ago, he vomited blood, and the next day we immediately took him to our regular vet. Who said perhaps he caught a virus and very strong vomiting could cause some bleeding. 

The vet prescribed some anti vomit medicine for Chidut. They said that an x-ray could be needed if the vomiting of blood did not stop; there could be an obstruction causing a problem.  Or perhaps an ultrasound could be needed as the worst possibility is that there may be a tumor. Which is rare in cats but is a possibility. 


A few days went by, and he seemed not to cough up much blood, which was a very good thing. But a few days ago, he started coughing up some blood again, and I took him to an emergency. The emergency tech did an ultrasound and said he had a very large tumor in my belly.  And she thought it might be cancerous. 


This is very horrible news where we are so close to Christmas and New Year. It supposed to be a happy moment for everybody but not for our family. I am feeling very sad and frustrating to know that my cat has a serious illness and needed medical treatment that requires a lot of money.
